sweet childhood

today, it was 84 degrees.

asher and journey came to visit nonnie.

clothes came off within an hour

and little bodies were immersed

in lake kimberly.

oh sweet.sweet.

childhood!

remembering

i own a pt cruiser.....

and i love

all the different shaped

little cars out there now....

it's always been, that if it isn't really different in shape

i don't know what kind of car it is

and it doesn't appeal to me.

may be a result of one of the cars i grew up with....

i don't remember the year it was, (dad emailed to say it was a 1960)

but it was a p.i.n.k. nash rambler!

how cool was that.....

wish i had that little car now!

i think about

better....than i did;

i just need to learn

today.

and make it the most

it can be.

the dress!

the main reason cassie and kyle came to visit this weekend

was to meet their new nephew

milo winter......

and share with jamie and matt.

but on sunday

an outing was planned......

to shop for

the

dress.

i was there, along with all her sisters,

baby milo, little journey and for a bit...brody.

quite an entourage.

jamie went in with cassie

and would bring her out

and we would oooh and ahhh

and give our opinions....all 5 of us....

and jessamyn would take pictures....

it could have been quite overwhelming...

but this is what cassie wanted.

there was a little dancing

a lot of laughter

a time filled with love!

and it came down to two....

and either one would have been amazing....

but she chose one.

this is what she said,...

"the one was a gorgeous, amazing dress, and i loved it,

but then......there is my dress..."

and she smiled!

what a fun memorable day!

happy L.O.V.E. day!

we have a dusting of snow

on the superstition mountains

visible near our home.

jamie, matt and baby milo are home

and it feels so wonderful.

the trip was an amazing time.

there is such an abundance of love

for this little boy...

by so many.

at the airport yesterday, aunties, uncles, cousins

papa and nonnie.....

welcomed this little family home

with signs, banners, balloons

and love...

documenting this amazing time

of a little family coming home.

there is such peace and joy in my heart.

it feels so good

and i want to be mindful

every day

of each and every

blessing

we

have been given.

thankful heart

i am leaving tomorrow morning
to fly to oregon
to be close
to my daughter and son-in-law
and baby Milo Winter.
i just want to be close
in case she wants some help
rather than 1200 miles away.
