living
while looking for photos for mother's day.
i put it on the picture board, and several of the girls asked for copies.
it started me thinking about all the living i have done....
everything that has been my privilege to be a part of.
all the experiences that have been my journey,
that make me who i am today.
who i was in my younger days....
who and what i have become today.
and i feel very blessed
to have such a full life
full of amazing memories and experiences.....
a few days ago, this quote awaited me from my "tea time thoughts"
"do not regret growing older. it is a privilege denied to many"
hopefully i will keep in mind to joy in each day to come
and be brave enough to do those things
that call my name!
(i love this quote cory has on her blog)
"Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint on it you can." --

this and that
i awoke today to cloudy skies
a few raindrops
a beautiful morning!
it's been busy here:
*new baby for a nephew and niece
*another nephew and niece became parents to a little boy from ethiopia
*nephew graduated from college
*special mother's day celebration
*playing with grandbabies
*trying to get things done for cassie's wedding in october
always seems there is something...
but that is a good thing
and life is good!

super hero
today, brody and i were getting ready to go to the mall.
i was holding him, and had his "bag" draped over my shoulders,
so i guess i "felt" like i had my purse.
we got outside, and i suddenly realized i had no keys, no purse and no phone!
we went in the back yard, and i saw the doggy door and thought "hmmmm"
after explaining what he would need to do
brody proceeded to try it.....and came back.
so we talked about it a little more.
"go through this doggy door and then there is the other doggy door that goes into the laundry room, open that door and then go meet nonnie at the front door and open that one too, okay?"
and he proceeded to do exactly that!
he saved the day
and is my
super hero
(and he is 2 and 1/2!)
